WEBSITE & CONTENT SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

SAGE PARTS 2019-2024

When I joined Sage Parts in 2019, as with many small to medium businesses, they needed help understanding their customers, being data-informed, positioning themselves as an established global business, and creating demand. Their content and creative direction needed updating and conforming to best practices. Their international owner, Alvest, was very frustrated with them. In a year, my efforts with Sage’s marketing, product branding, content management, and communication had Alvest requesting my help to aid other companies in their portfolio, including theirs.

  • I developed, launched, and maintained WordPress websites. Based on that success, I consulted on WordPress development for all Alvest companies.
  •  I was the Marketing Operations lead and resource for all Alvest companies. Alvest and TLD, their largest company, accounted for 20% of my workload.
    • Managed and developed marketing content, communications, and creative for newsletters, emails, social media, trade shows, events, promotions, and employee reward programs.

Brian joined the company at a tough time. Sage Parts was a very marketing-intensive organization, and I had just lost my crucial marketing person, making finding a replacement difficult. When Brian and I first met, I knew he would be the perfect fit. His talents, background, and, most importantly, his intuition were ideal. One of his first tasks was to design and rewrite our website with fantastic results. Brian is also a very talented photographer. This allowed the company to expand its product marketing further. Brian’s work performance was always of the highest quality.

    Ruddy Castillo

VP of Product Development, Sage Parts

Brian is very innovative. He always comes up with creative ways to streamline processes or solve a problem, often going into his toolkit and proposing a solution that others haven’t considered. While it isn’t always the solution settled upon within Sage, he is always bold to share and collaborate with creative ideas that have a lot of best practices, solid reasoning, and logic behind them.

    Domenick Micali

Working with Brian is a pleasure. He always delivers quality results, is great to collaborate with, and always has suggestions for resolving a problem or implementing a new approach. I know he is the “go-to” person for many managers on our team. Brian is very action-orientated. He will jump into any problem, and you can almost see his wheels turning as he thinks about the tasks needed to achieve a goal. He performs at a high level, even under pressure and with large deadlines.

Brian is an extremely tech-savvy individual and takes on projects with authority. Lily Man

Associate Production Manager/Senior Ad Operations, Thomas Publishing

For 18 months I was Brian’s primary editor (CBS New York), where he distinguished himself as our New York Islanders beat reporter by always telling our audience the truth, no matter how painful it was for fans to hear. Brian gets the stories right because of his diligence in reporting and his extremely responsible sourcing. Plus, he’s often thinking outside the box when it comes to presenting his information and that, in turn, separates him from most everyone else in the field. This is a tireless worker who cares little for praise, but a lot about representing his news organization with class and professionalism.

    Jeff Capellini

    Digital Producer/Editor, CBS New York

Brian is a prolific and fair journalist of great work ethic and integrity whose work covering and following the ongoing drama surrounding the New York Islanders, the Lighthouse Project, the ongoing Brooklyn/Nassau seesaw has always been first-rate — illuminating and insightful. I always look forward to seeing his work, regardless of subject matter and I enjoy his sense of humor, which is always evident in his work. His writing and humor translates well to Twitter and I’ve followed him in that medium for years now. Although my work relationship with Brian began because we were both writers who covered a lot of hockey, I’ve discovered over the years that he possesses a great deal of depth and breadth; he’s knowledgeable on a great number of subjects and capable of producing his usual great work outside the arena of sports and in various vehicles and media. He’d be a strong asset anywhere
